Supply Chain Manager

Summary (Main Purpose)

The Supply Chain Manager will develop, launch, and train to systematic processes inside the ERP system and oversee and optimize all aspects of the supply chain process. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and the ability to streamline operations to ensure efficient production, cost control, and timely delivery of high-quality medical devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supply Chain Strategy Development
    • Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with company objectives
    • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and efficiency gains
    • Lead and facilitate contractual agreements between Lowell and its suppliers
  • Become the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for the company’s ERP system, M1
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify system requirements, develop implementation plans, and execute system upgrades and enhancements
    • Provide training and support to end-users on the functionality and capabilities of the ERP system
  • Procurement and Supplier Management
    • Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms and ensure a reliable supply of high-quality materials
    • Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and evaluate potential new suppliers
  • Inventory Management
    • Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing carrying costs
    • Implement inventory control systems and processes to ensure accuracy and availability of materials
  • Logistics and Distribution
    • Oversee the logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers
    • Coordinate with transportation providers and manage shipping schedules
  • Production Planning
    • Collaborate with the production team to develop and execute production schedules
    • Ensure alignment of supply chain activities with production goals and timelines
  • Quality Assurance
    • Work closely with the quality control team to ensure all materials and finished products meet regulatory and company standards
    • Address any quality issues with suppliers promptly and effectively
  • Risk Management
    • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
    • Utilize data analytics to monitor supply chain performance and drive continuous improvement
    • Prepare regular reports on key supply chain metrics for senior management
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management in medical device manufacturing
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
