Set up and operate sophisticated new Nakamura Mill Turn CNC Equipment. Mill Turn Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC Nakamura Mill Turn Machines
  • Demonstrate ability to read and edit CNC code (partnering with Engineering) per company Standard Operating Procedures
  • Manufacture conforming product through the use and interpretation of part drawings, operation instructions, manufacturing specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Perform in-process inspection using inspection equipment and tools to verify dimensional and surface conformity. Uses data to adjust and maintain manufacturing process as needed
  • Maintain tooling, equipment, and work area to ensure an organized, safe, and clean environment
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance of the machines
  • Performs part finishing operations using a variety of abrasives, deburring tools and equipment
  • Collaborate with team members, quality, and engineering departments
  • Other duties as needed and assigned

Mill Turn Experience
  • Minimum 2 years CNC Machinist experience
  • Possesses advanced mechanical drawing reading skills and knowledge of GD&T
  • Understands metrology principles and how to perform inspection on complex parts
  • Light programming skills and ability to read and write macros preferred
  • Strong computer skills in order to access, store, create, and log data

What innovation!! I toured Lowell two weeks ago and could not have been more impressed with your other examples of innovation, namely the robotics utilized in the QA lab and in the laser marking area.
