Position Summary (Main Purpose)
Lowell is looking for a Swiss Machinist to work days, nights, or weekend shift. The machinist will set up and operate new Tsugami Swiss Machines to produce highly complex, close tolerance, precision medical device implants. The ideal candidates will have a positive attitude, attention to detail, and be team-oriented. This is a great opportunity for someone who is self-motivated and wants to learn and apply leading-edge automation techniques to medical device manufacturing in a friendly and flexible work environment.

Swiss Machinist Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Tsugami Swiss CNC Machines
- Manufacture conforming product through the use and interpretation of part drawings, operation instructions, manufacturing specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Perform in-process inspection using inspection equipment and tools to verify dimensional and surface conformity. Uses data to adjust and maintain manufacturing process as needed.
- Maintain tooling, equipment, and work area to ensure an organized, safe, and clean environment.
- Performs routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance of the machines.
- Performs part finishing operations using a variety of abrasives, deburring tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members, quality, and engineering departments.
- Other duties as needed and assigned.
Swiss Machinist Experience
- Minimum 2 years CNC Machinist experience, Tsugami Swiss experience preferred.
- Possesses advanced mechanical drawing reading skills and knowledge of GD&T.
- Understands metrology principles and how to perform inspection on complex parts.
- Strong computer skills in order to access, store, create, and log data.
- Light programming skills and ability to read and write macros preferred.
